Mountain Moonrise Painting

You can almost sense the clean, cool scent of the sagebrush in this nocturne mountain scene. The little cabin nestled in the valley beckons, as day and night trade places. The land feels like it is tucking in for the night, the warmth of the sun's last rays still present but fading as the moon rises.

This is an original oil painting. The painting surface is a 3/4" deep wood-composite panel that's been coated with gesso prior to painting. It has a canvas texture on the front surface and a painted edge. Can be displayed by hanging directly on the wall for a more casual look, or by framing it for a more pulled-together look. The painting has been finished with an archival UV satin varnish to give it a "just painted" appearance and to ensure longevity.
